Elizabeth Yanecko Laba

Elizabeth Yanecko Laba, 90, of Tower Hill 2, PA, passed away Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Uniontown Hospital.

She was born November 17, 1919 in Republic, PA, the daughter of the late William and Kathryn (Karchnak) Yanecko. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Laba; daughter, Evelyn Ronsky; infant brother, Michael Yanecko; her brother, William Yanecko and three sisters Ann Kronko, Mary Ann Pazicni and Kathryn Fijalkovich and daughter-in-law Pearl Laba.

Elizabeth was a member of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in West Brownsville, PA for over 60 years where she was involved in the Ladies Altar Guild. She was also a former member of Navy Mother's in Uniontown, PA and had been a resident at Golden Living Center, Uniontown, PA for almost 8 years.

She will be sadly missed by her three daughters; Anna Stump and husband Malen, Brownsville, PA, Elizabeth Belliconish and husband Andy, Tower Hill 2, PA and Marie Holmes and husband David, Ohiopyle, PA, two sons; Charles Laba and friend Michelle Jacksonville, FL and John Daniel Laba, and friend Darcie, Roscoe, PA, 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren 3 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA, Sunday, June 6, 2010 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 9 PM and Monday, June 7, 2010 until 9:30 AM when panachida services will begin followed by Divine Liturgy at Holy Ressurrection Orthodox Church, West Brownsville, PA at 10:00 AM with Rev. Fr. John Kluthko as celebrant.

Interment will follow in the Holy Resurrection Cemetery in Low Hill, PA.
