Wilbur R. Huey

Wilbur R. Huey, 80, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2008 at his home.

He was born August 29, 1927 in Denbo, PA, the son of the late Della Mae (Walters) and William Ransom Huey. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Alice E. Patterson Huey, two sons Wilbur R. Huey, Jr. and Edward A. Huey, two sisters Maxine Martin and Charlotte Rankin and two brothers Gerald K. Huey and Barry R. Huey.

Wilbur was a veteran of the United States Army. He also belonged to the American Legion Post 940 and the VFW.

He will be sadly missed by his four children Vanessa Baumgardner and husband Dave, Denbo, Pa, William Huey, Sr. and wife Anita, Brownsville, Pa, Kimberly Hartley and husband Ricky, Coal Center, Pa, and Barry Huey and wife Colleen, Brownsville, Pa, a sister Carol Johnson and husband Glen, California, Pa, 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front St. Brownsville, Pa today from 7-9 pm and Monday, January 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 11:00 am the hour of service with the Rev. David Watts officiating.

Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa. Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Posts 940, 838, and 295.
