Thomas L. Koon

Thomas Leonard Koon, 54, of Brownsville, PA died Thursday, June 1, 2006 at his home with his family at his side.

He was born July 3, 1951 in Brownsville, PA the son of the late Nora (Leandro) and Frank J. Koon, Jr.

Tom resided in Brownsville most of his life and served with the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked for CSX Railroad (formerly P & L E) for a little over 36 years. He was also a member of the American Legion.

He was a devoted husband and father and is survived by his wife of 22 years, Dona E. Davison Koon, 2 daughters Melissa L. Lancaster and husband Paul, Uniontown, PA and Amanda O. Koon of Brownsville, PA, 2 brothers Frank J. Koon and wife Lucy, Grindstone, PA and Daniel J. Koon, Grindstone, PA, sister Beverly L. Paull and husband Dave, Uniontown, PA, best friend Robert (Flipps) Kraft and wife Michelle, Uniontown, PA, and several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial service at Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA on Monday, June 5, 2006 at 11:00am with the Rev. Alexander Jalso officiating.

Arrangements are in the care of Novak Funeral Home 515 Front St. Brownsville, PA.

Full military honors will be accorded by American Legion Posts #940, #175, #838 and #295.
