Shirley Ann Seese

Shirley Ann Seese, 81, of Brownsville, PA , passed away peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2007 at 8:59 am.

She was born in Bunker Hill, PA, Redstone Twp. on April 29, 1926, the daughter of late Charles J. and Valerie F. (Sargent) Seese. She was not married.

Shirley was formerly employed at Wood's Jewlery Store, Brownsville, and she was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone's Brownsville office. In her later years she enjoyed spending time with her family and playing bingo. She was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.

Preceding her in death, along with her parents, were her dearly beloved sister, Sally (Seese) Barry and her husband Vincent Barry of Brownsville, with which she made her home for many years.

Left to cherish her memory are her niece, Colleen (Barry) Rummell and husband Tracy of Brownsville, two nephews Ronald Barry and wife Gale of Brownsville and Richard Barry and wife Melissa of Brownsville. Also surviving her are her great nieces and nephews, whom she adored and considered her own grandchildren: Alexandra Barry, Brennan Rummell, Kaitlyn Barry, Richard Barry II and Patrick Barry. Also holding a special place in her heart are Phillip and David Gordon of Uniontown, and dear friends Audrey Rummell and Susan DeCarlo, both of Brownsville.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA Sunday from 6 - 9 pm, Monday 2 - 4 and 6 - 9 pm and Tuesday, June 19, 2007 until 11:00 am the hour of service with Rev. James Cannon of Ruff Creek Baptist Church, Ruff Creek, PA officiating.

Interment will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
