Sara Lillian Davis Groves

Sara Lillian Davis Groves went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, September 13, 2008.

She was born May 12, 1930 in Helen, PA, the daughter of John W. and Margaret M. Harbarger Davis.

Sara was a member of the Allison 1st Church of the Nazarene and also attended the Brownsville Wesleyan Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Fred Groves, Jr. in 2004, her son Terrance L. Groves in 1995 and by her brothers John W. Davis, Richard L. Davis and James H. Davis.

Sara will be sadly missed by her son Fred W. Groves and wife Sonya, Denbo, PA, daughter Margaret M. Groves, Grindstone, PA; two grandchildren Rachelle L. Groves and Fred D. Groves, two great grandchildren Jesse N. Groves and Dimitri A. Roach; a brother Robert E. Davis and wife Jody, Reynoldsburg, OH, sister-in-law Judy Davis, Cleveland, OH, sister-in-law Janice Smetanka and husband Joe, Perryopolis, PA, brother-in-law Darrell A. Groves and wife Cheryl, Charleroi, PA and her dog Molly.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA today from 4 - 9pm and Monday, September 15, 2008 until 11:00 am the hour of service with the Rev. Michael R. Beckley and Rev. Edward Truitt officiating.

Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
