Rose M. (Martino) Schimonsky

Rose M. Schimonsky, 88, of Brownsville, PA, died on Monday, December 15, 2014, in the comfort of her home.

She was born on March 30, 1926, the daughter of James and Mary (Tambourini) Martino. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Roy H. Schimonsky; sisters Mamie Pappas and Lena Carr; brother, Patsy Martin; sons-in-law, Bill Crabb and Andy Pugliesi; and great-grandson, Zachary Ronald Johnson.

Rose was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brownsville, and had worked as a bookkeeper for Frank's Auto Supply. She loved to bake, cook, and sew, but her greatest joy was caring for her daughters and grandchildren.

She is survived by six daughters, Sandy Pugliesi, Webster, PA, Rose Rambo and husband Mark, Uniontown, PA, Patty Bittner and husband Henry, Uniontown, PA, Roileen Schimmel, New Salem, PA, Lorilyn Crabb, Pittsburgh, PA and Loralei Perozich and husband John, Pittsburgh PA; twelve grandchildren, Angie Walters, Andy Jr. and Danielle Pugliesi, Mark Rambo, Jr, Melissa McKnight, Beth Redding, Michael Bittner, Brett Schimmel, Rachael Crabb, and Caleigh, Aidan and Anthony Perozich; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front St, Brownsville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, in the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Jay Polowsky, with interment following in LaFayette Memorial Park.
