Ronald Edward Brosky, 77, of West Brownsville, PA passed away September 20, 2013 at home.
He was born December 24, 1935 in West Brownsville, PA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Armstrong and brother Walter Dombrosky.
Ron graduated from Penn Commercial of Washington, PA and worked as a Senate Aide for Senator Edward Martin from 1956-1960 then joined the United States Marine Corps. Reserves from 1958-1964, he also worked for US Steel Clairton, for 25 years and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after about 14 years. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for Center in the Woods. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. His grandchildren were the love of his life. Ron was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, of West Brownsville, PA and attended the Calvary Church of the Nazarene. He loved the Lord and served him daily.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 47 years Ada J. (Salisbury) Brosky, of West Brownsville, PA, 1 Son Ronald L. Brosky, of West Brownsville, PA, 3 Daughters Kristin Timko and husband John, of Chesapeake, VA, Leigh Byrne, of West Brownsville, PA and Carol Conner and husband Jim of West Brownsville, PA. Grandchildren Jimmy and Joshua Timko, Sarah and Jesse Byrne and Brody and Gia Conner, 1 Aunt Lois Stetz, of Charleroi, PA, Brother-in-law Tom Salisbury and fiance Nancy Petrosky, of Perryopolis, PA, Sister-in-law Faith Hazelbaker and husband Cal, of Newell, PA. Also survived by several great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA Monday, September, 23, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM and Tuesday, September 24, 2013 until 11:00 am, the hour of service with the Rev. David Watts, officiating.
Interment will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
