Roger Keith Sargent, Sr.

Roger Keith Sargent, Sr. 59, earned his wings on August 20th, 2023. He fought a courageous fight for the last 11 months with Stage IV Small Cell Lung Cancer with his family and fiancé supporting him in every way. We will miss him so much. 

He was born in Brownsville, PA on October 17, 1963, to his father Robert K Sargent Sr. (Deceased) and survived by his mom Ruth Ann (Boyd) Sargent. 

He loved his sons Roger (Rog) K Sargent, Jr. of Brownsville, PA, and Bryan Sargent (Maria) of Youngwood, PA. He spent hours on end with them in the garage tearing motorcycles apart and rebuilding them. His boys were his reason for fighting! His fiancé Brenda and sister Robin cared for him and encouraged him daily.

His passion was his purple Hellcat Challenger. For those that never saw him rip through town or saw one of his burnouts, you missed out. Roger was always the dare or dare too! Those that knew him will agree! No Fear & Love for speed!

In addition to his sons, Roger is survived by his siblings Robin Toth of Brownsville, PA; Rosalie Kindinis of Campbell, OH; Robert (Buff) K Sargent, Jr. (Mary Jo) of Mechanicsville, MD; Rhonda Miller (Chuck) of Harrison City, PA. And his loving fiancé Brenda Cole of Brownsville, PA. And his two dogs Victor and Vickie and grand puppies Harley and Lettie, and grand kitty Chloe. He will also be missed by his sons’ mother Bobbie Ann Sargent of Brownsville, PA.

Also surviving are nephews and nieces Martin Libertini, Jr (Lisa); Carey Lynn Libertini; Phillip Kindinis and Elias and Persia; Kyle Sargent; Casey Quade (Chris) and Kylee Jo; Jackie (Mike) Mehl and Jaylyn and Tyler; Mike Casper; Jonathan (Katie) Miller; Kristen Miller. 

Friends and family will be received at the Novak-Melenyzer Funeral Home, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA 15417 from 1:00 to 9:00pm on Thursday, August 24th, 2023, and on Friday August 25th, 2023, from 10:00am to 11:00am at which time funeral services will begin.
