Robert J. Sawyers

Robert J. Sawyers, 85, of Brownsville, PA and formerly of West Brownsville, PA, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Blacksville, WV, the son of James and Blanche (Rawlings) Sawyers, along with his brothers and sisters, Tom, Linda, Larry, Daryl “Buck”, Darlene “Honey”, Richard “Doll”, Nancy, Regina, Martha, Eugene, Clarence “Budd”, and Ronnie.

Robert served his country in the United States Marines during the Korean Conflict.  He worked construction for most of his life.

Surviving are his wife, Theda Mae (Wagner) Sawyers, Brownsville, PA; two children, John Sawyers, West Brownsville, PA and Robyne Manchas and husband Edward, Brownsville, PA; six grandchildren, Robert Sawyers, Somerset county, PA, Felicia, Paul and Theresa Sawyers, West Brownsville, PA, Zachary Manchas, Denver, CO and Brandon Manchas, Brownsville, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are private.  Arrangements and professional services are in the care of NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA 15417.
