Robert Bradmon, Jr., 91, of Brownsville, PA, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016.
He was born November 6, 1925, the son of, Robert, Sr. and Lula (Veasey) Bradmon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother William J. Bradmon and niece Marilyn Howerton.
Bob was a school teacher by profession. He taught in Wiley Consolidated School District, Albert Gallatin School district for 10 years and Gateway School District for 21 years, retiring in 1982. He was a charter member of PA State Education Assoc. Retired, PA Assoc. of School Retires, and Fayette County Assoc. of School Retires.
He was a member of the Brownsville Historical Society serving as membership chairman for 8 years, Board of Directors and treasurer for two terms. Also, he gave tours at the Nemacolin Castle for 10 years. Other memberships include, member of Brownsville I.O.O.F. #51, serving as Noble Grand and secretary and member of Fayette County Senior Golf Assoc., serving on the Board of Directors for two terms.
Bob was a member of the United States Air Force, serving in the 10th Air Force as an aerial gunner on a B-24 Bomber and was station in Tezpur, India.
He will be sadly missed by his niece, Beth Monday; two nephews, Jerry Bradmon and Larry Bradmon; eight great nieces and nephews, Brian, Erin, Caroline, Morgan, Jenny, Stephanie, Bonnie and Carla and one great great niece and 9 great great nephews.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 9:00 - 11:00 AM, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM with Pastor Katy Yates Brungraber officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette memorial Park, Brier hill, PA.
