Richard Lee Sealy

Richard Lee Sealy, 74, of Brownsville, PA passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Town View Health & Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg, PA.

He was born March 26, 1934 in Brownsville, PA the son of the late George Clark and Polly Elizabeth Wardman Sealy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Hout Sealy, brother Ronnie Sealy and sister Dorothy Chovan.

Richard was a long time member of Brownsville Fire Co. #1 as well as a past Fire Chief and past President. He worked for the former Monongahela Railway as a railroad conductor. Richard was one of the original founders of the Brownsville Ambulance service along with his first wife Barbara. He also was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brownsville and he was a veteran of the United States Army.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Sylvia Sealy, Brownsville, PA, brothers George Clark Sealy and wife Louise, Maine, Howard (Bear) Sealy, Brownsville, PA and Kenny Sealy and wife Jo Louise, Monesson, PA, sister Sandy Serven and husband Jess, New York, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA today from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Friday, April 18, 2008 until 11:00 am the hour of service with Pastor Janice McClay officiating.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.

The Brownsville Fire Company #1 will hold a service in the funeral home tonight at 7:00pm.
