Rev. Elizabeth "Betty Jean" Winslow

Rev. Elizabeth "Betty Jean" Winslow, of Rowes Run, PA passed away on Monday, October 6, 2014 at home with her family by her side.

She was born April 11, 1948 in Brownsville, PA the daughter of John William, Sr. and Helen Johanna (Chernko) Lowery. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Norman Daryl Winslow, sister, Romaine Peskie and brother Francis Lowery.

Betty Jean was a wonderful mother and a loving grandmother. She loved the Lord and was dedicated to bringing the message of salvation to the world.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter Tara Hixon and fiancé Tom McGowan, Rowes Run , PA, grandchildren Lakota, Kaleb and Dani Hixon; daughter Krista Robertson and husband Kyle, Florence, SC, grandchildren, Devan, Brianna and Olivia Cessna; son, Norman Winslow II and wife Shelby, grandchildren Grayson Winslow, Peyton and Sophia; grandsons, Dylan Winslow, Zack Gross and Taran Winslow; great granddaughter Ryleigh Winslow; sister, Carol Vlasich and husband Paul, Rowes Run, PA; three sons, Robert "Clem" Lowery and wife Donna, Smock, PA, James Lowery and wife Rose, Harrisburg, PA and William "Beeb" Lowery and wife Liz, Auburn, NJ; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA, Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM and Thursday, October 9, 2014 until 11:00 AM the hour of service.
