Rebecca G. Patterson

Rebecca G. Patterson, 80, of Brownsville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at home.

She was born on February 6, 1937, in Brownsville, PA, the daughter of Donald L. and Gene (Bailey) Crawford.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wallace Reed Patterson.

Rebecca attended Uniontown Hospital School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse.   She was employed at Brownsville General Hospital until she retired in 1999 after 42 years.  She was a member of South Brownsville United Methodist Church. Rebecca enjoyed attending church every Sunday, shopping with her sister, reading books, doing crossword puzzles and traveling to Florida to visit her great-grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by her son Joel L. Patterson and wife Danielle, Brownsville, PA; three grandchildren, Joel V. Patterson and wife Mandy, Cocoa, Fl., Alyssa R. Patterson, Brownsville, PA and Kayla G. Patterson, Monroeville, PA; three great grandchildren, Jada R. Diem, Layla J. Patterson and Cole R. Patterson all of Cocoa, FL; sister Sally A. Vance, Brownsville, PA; nephew, James C. Vance, Brownsville, PA; great-niece Darcy L. Vance, Brownsville, PA and best friends, Carol Assad and Connie Shaffer.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and Saturday, March 4, 2017 until 11:00 AM the hour of service with Rev. Frank Philpot officiating.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
