Philip Elko, 82, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Mount Saint Macrina, Uniontown, PA.
He was born March 29, 1926, in Brownsville, the son of the late Peter and Cecelia Elko.
Philip served with the United States Marine Corp. during WWII. He was a member of Hiller Fire Department and the Brownsville F&AM Lodge #60.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Dolores Bakewell Elko, three children Lynn Dee Petko, Brownsville, PA, Kevin Elko and wife Karen, Presto, PA and Lou Ann Kelly and husband Shawn, McDonald, PA and his six grandchildren Joshua and Samuel Petko, Collin and Connor Kelly and Claire and Jared Elko.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA today from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, Monday, March 31st from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2008 with the time to be announced in tomorrow's paper.
Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA. Military honors will be accorded by the United States Marine Corp.
Brownsville F&AM Lodge #60 will hold a Masonic Service Monday in the funeral home at 7:30 pm. The Hiller Fire Department will hold their service immediately following at 7:45 pm.
