Percy Albert Pace, 80, of Hiller, PA, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 at Generations Elder Care in Smock, PA.
He was born July 3, 1931, in Maxwell, PA , the son of Julia Bell (Lanier) and McKinley June Pace, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Michael A. Pace and two brothers McKinley June Pace, Jr. and Robert Pace.
Percy served his country in the United States Army for 23 years. After retiring from the army he worked for the Monongahela Railroad as a machinst. Percy also was the former pastor of the First Baptist Church of Lamberton.
He will be sadly missed by his five children, Calvin D. Pace, Lorraine Pace, Dale E. Pace and wife Stephanie, Timothy Pace and wife Stephanie and Janet Pace Corbitt; one sister Anita B. Jackson; one sister-in-law Jacqueline Pace; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and Wednesday, February 29, 2012 until 11:00 am the hour of service with Elder Dale E. Pace officiating.
Interment will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
Military Honors will be accorded by American Legion Posts #295, #940 and #838.
