Pauline Losko Shashura, 91, of Brownsville, PA, (Malden) went home to be with the Lord, on Sunday, April 17, 2016.
She was born June 15, 1924 in Brownsville, the daughter of Charles and Pauline (Pollick) Losko. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alex D. Shashura on January 29, 2001 and two brothers, George and James Losko.
Pauline was a member of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in West Brownsville, PA. She owned and operated the Malden Drive - In, with her husband, for 13 years. Also, Pauline loved volunteering at the Brownsville General Hospital. She was an Auxiliary Volunteer for over 50 years.
She will be sadly missed by her three children, Paula Gutosky and husband John, Alexa Hvizda and husband Steve and Alexander Shashura and his wife Carol; two brothers, Charles and Michael Losko; sister Mary Rizak, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-granchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA, on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 1-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the HOLY RESURRECTION ORTHODOX CHURCH 110 Main Street, West Brownsville, PA, with the Very Rev. Father Samuel Smolcic as celebrant.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Pauline's name to the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, 110 Main Street, West Brownsville, PA 15417.
