Paul Tretiak, Sr.

Paul Tretiak, Sr., 87, formerly of New Sewickley Twp., West Brownsville, and Beaver, PA, died Sunday, February 19, 2006 at Friendship Ridge, Beaver, PA.

Born November 4, 1918 in West Brownsville, PA, he was the son of the late John and Susan Tretiak.

Surviving are his two sons and daughter in laws, Paul J. and Marilyn Tretiak, Florham Park, NJ & Jonathan G. and Patricia Stoloski Tretiak, Beaver, PA; 2 granddaughters Marianna Tretiak Sakkas and Christine Senkevich Kohler and husband Jon; 5 great grandchildren Timothy, Theodora, Katarina, Anna, and Samuel and a special niece Betty Lou Walters.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 2 wives, Anne Elko Tretiak and Dorothy Tretiak, 1 brother John Freechack and 2 sisters Ann Holepit and Mary Hyatt.

Paul retired as a manager of Bi-Lo gas station in 1983 after 25 years of service. He was previously a manager of Potter McCune Wholesale Grocery in West Brownsville, PA and Beaver Falls, PA for 20 years. He was a member of the California Baptist Church, California, PA and United Methodist Church of Rochester, PA.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in WWII in the Pacific Theater and Korea occupation force.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front St. Brownsville, PA on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm and Wednesday, February 22, 2006 until 11:00am the hour of service.

Interment will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.

Military Honors will be accorded by American Legion Posts 940, 175, 838, and 295.
