Norma Jean Chew, 95, of Hiller, passed away peacefully at home on August 8th, 2024 with her family by her side. Born in Brownsville on October 27th, 1928, Norma was the daughter of the late Steve and Edna (Bane) Lesneck.
Norma was a member of the Saint Andrews Lutheran Church and the PSEA (Pennsylvania State Education Association). She enjoyed bowling and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Surviving to cherish Norma’s memory; her son Gary (Kathy) Chew, her daughters Sandy Rummell and Cheryl Dranzo, her grandchildren Brandi Blaser, Abby Chew, Jackie Dranzo, Melissa Dean, and Jeremey Dranzo and four (4) great-grandchildren; her sister Elsie Pataski, and her nieces and nephews Danny Wayne Chew, Bobby Chew, Margaret Rosemeier, and Gene (Diane) Pataski.
In addition to her parents Norma is preceded in death by her husband Robert Edward Chew (1969), her niece Linda Delquadri, and son-in-law Lance Rummell.
Friends and family will be received at the NOVAK-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA 15417 on Tuesday August 13th, 2024 from 10am until 12pm (NOON) at which time funeral services will begin inside the funeral home.
