Matthew William Pritts

Matthew William Pritts, 54, of Brownsville, passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2026. Born in Brownsville on January 15, 1972, Matthew was the son of the late Robert and Bonnie (Ball) Pritts.

Matthew dedicated nearly 30 years of his life to serving others as a paramedic. He also volunteered as a local firefighter and was truly a jack of all trades. In his free time, he enjoyed his classic cars, cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh sports teams, and spending time with his cherished fur babies—his dog, Jax, and his two cats, Pbaba and Fuz. Matthew was known for his twisted sense of humor, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud Pap-Pap who treasured every moment with his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 22 wonderful years, Tiffany Marie Pritts; his children, Britany Pritts, Anastasia (Jimmy) LaCotta, and Rhiannon (Frank) Pritts; his cherished grandchildren, Jayce, Leland, Jaleah, and Jamya; his dear friend, William "Beetle" Bailey; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Matthew was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Sam Angelo, and his sister, Tracy Christensen.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Allegheny General Hospital for their compassionate care, and to CORE for the incredible work they do to give hope and life to others through the gift of donation.
