Marjorie L. Whetzel, 89, of Brownsville, PA passed away Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown, PA.
She was born August 20, 1916 in Brownsville, PA the daughter of the late George and Mary Geekie Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her infant daughter Judith who passed away June 22, 1944, three brothers: George, James and Ashbel Smith, and three sisters: Isobel Hamilton, Melissa Confalone, and Fannie Casper.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 68 years, Lewis Raymond Whetzel, son Ronald Whetzel and wife Margaret, Grindstone, PA, daughter Susan Whetzel Franks and husband Harold, Connellsville, PA, son Thomas Whetzel, Brownsville, PA, sister Elizabeth Waterhouse, Michigan, 2 grandchildren Scott Franks, Connellsville, PA and Amy Franks, Connellsville, PA, great grandson Scotty Franks and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA tomorrow May 1, 2006 from 4pm - 9 pm and Tuesday, May 2, 2006 until 11:00am the hour of service.
Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
