Marino "Minnie" Durigon, age 88, of Allison 2, Fayette County, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2005, in his home.
He was born May 8, 1916, in Keisterville, PA, the son of the late Albert Durigon, Sr. and Genoeffa Pascute Durigon.
Marino was a retired mason/carpenter.
He was the last person to close the Alicia Coke Ovens.
Marino was a member for 63 years of the now former Saint Mary's RC Church in Brownsville, PA, the Allison 2 Volunteer Fire Dept. and the California Gun Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by brothers, Libero, Livero, Docile and Henry, and by sisters, Betty and Ida.
Left to cherish his memory are: his wife of 63 years, Kathryn Marie Dulovec Durigon, his two daughters; Vera Lou Durigon, of Alexandria, VA, and Leslie Durigon Lippencott and her husband, Will Lippencott, of Brownsville, PA; granddaughter, Lindsey Lippencott, of Brownsville, PA; four brothers,; Albert Durigon and Lewis Durigon, both of Republic, PA, Guy Durigon, of Hiller, PA, and Bruno Durigon, of Willowick, OH; a special friend and caregiver, Rose Majoros; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME (Formerly Confer Funeral Home), 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA, today from 6 to 9 pm and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm where prayers of transfer will be said Monday, April 25 at 9:30 am.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 am in the Historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Father Vincent Gigliotti as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA
Saint Mary's Confraternity of Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary in the Funeral Home on Sunday at 3 pm.
