LEONARD "PAP" H. YOKIEL, SR.
GRINDSTONE, PA


Leonard "Pap" H. Yokiel, Sr., 80, of Grindstone,  PA went to be with his Lord on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Monongahela Valley Hospital, with his loving family by his side.

He was born April 17, 1931, in Pricedale, PA, the son of Joseph and Pearl (Holesapple) Yokiel.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three children Mary R., John M. and George H. Yokiel.

"Pap" was an Air Force veteran and served in Europe as an aircraft engine specialist.  He retired from U.S. Steel Corp in Clariton, PA.

Leonard is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Josephine Dietz Yokiel; nine children, Leonard H. Yokiel, Jr. and wife Michele, Joe Yokiel and wife Kathy, Deborah Yokiel, Jim Yokiel and wife Sheri, Dottie Bryant and husband Mark, Janet Stanley and husband Lenny, Bertha "Bert" Glover and husband Jesse, Sam Yokiel and wife Rhoda and Maggie Bohach and husband Eddie; nine grandchildren Jim, Eric, Joey, Jennifer, Larissa, Mandy, Victoria, J.J, and Caleb; six great grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA  today, August 14, 2011 from 6 - 8 PM and  Monday, August 15, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.  The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM at the Church Of The Nazarene, 73 Promised Land Drive, Coal Center, PA with the Rev. David Watts officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Leonard 's name to the Yokiel family in care of the Novak Funeral Home, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA 15417.
