Larry A. Landman, 54, of Grindstone, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017.
He was born August 28, 1962 in Brownsville, PA, the son of Albert and Gladys (Pollok) Landman. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Albert Landman; great niece Joelle Rose Zosky; father in law, Thomas Edward Race; maternal grandparents, John and Anna Pollok and paternal grandparents, Albert and Wilda Landman.
Larry was self-employed. He owned Dynamic Tile and Marble in Grindstone. He was a football coach for many years, coaching Brownsville/ Mon Valley football league as well as coach for both Brownsville Junior and Senior High Schools. He was a member of Pleasant View Presbyterian Church in Smock. Larry was also a member of the California Gun Club and social member at West Brownsville Fire Department. He loved hunting and spending time with his boys.
He will be sadly missed by his mother Gladys Landman; wife, Renee (Race) Landman; son Zachary Thomas Landman; two sisters, Lora Lee Liptak and husband Tom and Lisa Zosky and husband Billy; sister in law, Teri Lynn Quiggle and husband Gary; six nieces, Brittany Locke and husband Josh, Brooke Liptak, Haleigh Zosky, Hannah Zosky, Krista Quiggle and companion Meagan Lopata and Kaitlin Matessa and husband Chris; great niece, Claire Matessa; mother in law, Marie Race; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and many great friends, but most of all by his dog Grizzy Landman.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA, today, Sunday, February 12, 2017 and Monday, February 13, 2017 from 2¬-4 and 6-9 PM. Viewing will be held at PLEASANT VIEW PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 533 Royal Rd., Smock, PA, on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Tony Catullo officiating.
