Josephine Ella Austin, 96, of Blainesburg, PA passed away Monday, March 24, 2008 at Lafayette Manor, Uniontown, PA.
She was born July 18, 1911 in Brownsville, PA the daughter of the late Clyde and Ethel Mae Wilson Hess. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Austin and her son Albert Austin.
Josephine was the oldest member of the Dendeau Heights Christian Church, Denbo, PA.
She is survived by two sons Franklin Austin, Jr., Grindstone, PA and Richard Austin, Cleveland, Ohio, daughter Vivian Thomas, Blainesburg, PA, sister Margaret Welsh, Melbourne, FL, ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA Wednesday, March 26, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Thursday, March 27, 2008 until 11:00 am the hour of service with the Rev. Roland O'Brian officiating.
Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
