Joseph John Medve, 72, of Brownsville, PA, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Monongahela Valley Hospital.
He was born January 5, 1943 in Brownsville, PA, the son of Andrew and Sophie (Konjolka) Medve. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Pamela (Colvin) Medve, sister, Judy Staley and son in law, Lenny Burchick.
Joe was a retired US Steel worker. He was a wonderful father and a generous and caring man, helping anyone in need. He will be sadly missed by his two daughters, Linda Medve, Brownsville, PA and Beth Ann Durst and husband Fred, East Millsboro, PA; sister Patty Craig, Brownsville, PA; and his nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA on Monday, June 1, 2015 from 4 - 9 PM. A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 10:30 AM in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at the Historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Father Arnel A. Estrella as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA. A Parish Wake Service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 6:00 PM in the funeral home.
