Joan Burke

Joan Burke, 90, of Brownsville, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021.

She was born August 21, 1930 in Cochranton, PA the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Lechie) Dale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Daniel Burke, Jr.; brothers, William, Paul, Thomas, Robert and Donald Dale; sisters, Betty Vickers, Maxine Thompson and Nancy Dale.

Joan grew up in Grindstone, PA and was raised by her special aunt and uncle, the late Matthew and Helen Dale. She graduated from Brownsville High School and worked many years as a waitress.

She will be sadly missed by her eight children, Matthew Burke, Delaware, Daniel Burke (Dena), Idaho, Donna Novak (Ron), Brownsville, Jackie Ducar (Jim), Allison, William Burke (Debbie), Ohio, Christopher Burke (Diane), North Carolina, Joseph Burke, Greensburg and Donald Burke (Jodi), Texas; fifteen grandchildren, Andy Burke, Delaware, John Burke, Philadelphia, Jennifer Novak, Grindstone, Derek Burke, Idaho, Erika Burke, Idaho, Tracy Williams, Carmichaels, Jimmy Ducar Easton, PA, Billy Burke, Michigan, Brandi Nixon, Ohio, Meghan Burke, Uniontown, Tanner Lax, Greensburg, Brett Burke, Louisiana, Brittney Burke, Texas, Brooklyn Burke, Texas and Brady Burke, Texas; fourteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
