James "Budd" Grebb

James "Budd" Grebb, 71, of California, PA died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 in Washington Hospital from heart complications.

He was born June 1, 1936 in Granville, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Bernard J. and Irma Zanardelli Grebb.

Prior to his retirement, Budd was store manager for the G.C. Murphy Company and a dedicated teacher in the Elizabeth Forward and California Area School Districts. He served the youth of his community as a Coach and Athletic Director and was a member of the California Borough Recreation Committee. Budd was a PIAA Official and held the position of Secretary-Treasurer of the Vesta PIAA Chapter. Additionally, like his father, he served as a President of the California Area Board of School Directors. Budd proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corp. He also belonged to the International Order of the Sons of Italy (Brownsville Lodge).

He is survived by his sister Bernadine and here husband Romeo Fabriziani of Belle Vernon, PA; his brother Regis Grebb of California, PA; his nephew Barry Fabriziani of Doylestown, PA and a niece Terri Fabriziani Reiss of Pittsburgh, PA. He also was the proud uncle of grand nieces Romi Lynn Danko of San Diego, CA and Lianne Danko of Belle Vernon, PA; grand nephews, twins, Jonathan and Joshua Fabriziani of Doylestown, PA.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street
Brownsville, PA Monday, April 28, 2008, from 6 - 9 pm.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Anyone whose life was touched by Budd will remember his motto: "This Budd's 4 you". In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the: Coach J. Budd Grebb Award, Foundation for California University of PA Scholarship Endowment Fund at 250 University Avenue, Box 112 California, PA 15419-1394.
