James E. Fisher, Sr., 82, of Brownsville, PA passed away Monday, February 5, 2007 in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, PA surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on December 30, 1924 in Mather, PA the son of the late Elmer and Isabella Fisher. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Brown Fisher, brothers Elmer and Robert Fisher and sister Mary Palazzo.
James was a World War II veteran of the 101st Airborne division and a retired Coal Miner from Isabella Coal Mine.
He is survived by two sons James E. Fisher, Jr. and wife Barbara, Brownsville, PA and Kevin Fisher and wife Pam, Brownsville, PA. 5 grandchildren whom he loved and adored Sean, Danielle, Tiffany, Brandon, and Stefanie. He was also blessed with three great grandchildren Sean, Jr., Bethany, and Christopher.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA today from 7 - 9pm and Thursday, February 8, 2007 until 11:00am the hour of service with Rev. Paul Wilson officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
Full military honors will be accorded by American Legion Posts #940, #175, #838 and #295.
