James "T" Barry, 90, of Brownsville, PA passed away Monday December 26, 2005 at Tara Hospital, Brownsville, PA
He was born September 9, 1915, in Southwestern, PA, the son of the late James Joseph and Ella Murphy Barry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife: Gladys Barry and 8 brothers: Richard, Joseph, Michael, John, William, Edward, Vincent and Paul Barry.
James was a retired United Mine Worker. He retired from Maple Creek Mine in 1977 as an electrician. Also he was a member of The Historic Church of St. Peter, Brownsville, PA since 1935.
He will be sadly missed by; 2 sons James Barry and wife Susan, Huntington Beach, CA and Thomas Barry and wife Bonnie, Brownsville, PA; 1 grandson Thomas S. Barry, Brownsville, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front St. Brownsville, PA Wednesday December 28, 2005 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and Thursday, December 29, 2005, from 11 am until noon when a Prayer Service will be held. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 pm in The Historic Church of St. Peter, Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Fr. Vincent Gigliotti as celebrant.
Burial will follow at St. Peters Cemetery, Rt. 40 Brownsville, PA.
Frank Ricco Sons of Italy Lodge 731 will conduct services at the funeral home at 6:00 pm on Wednesday.
