Jacqueline Marie Roule Dupraw, 85. of Washington, PA, passed away peacefully June 10, 2015, in Haragos Personal Care Home, Uniontown.
She was born July 3, 1929, in Marianna, the daughter of John M. and Mary Yoskey Roule. Jacqueline loved growing up in Marianna. After school, she worked at her grandmother, Mary Ann Yoskey's, Marianna Mercantile Store. As a young woman she worked at Herd's Drugstore in Washington. On July 26, 1963, she married Andrew George Dupraw in Mentor, Ohio. They lived in Ashtabula and Geneva, Ohio with their daughter, Connie Rae, until relocating to Florida. In 1979, they built a home in Lady Lake where she enjoyed swimming in her pool, boating on the lake, dancing, attending church and spending time with friends. On October 28, 2009 she was widowed. Her brother and sister in law, James and Barbara Roule assisted Jacqueline through this transition and with her health challenges. Mrs. Dupraw lived in Quiet Oaks Assisted Living, Ocala, FL until May 2014 when she returned to her roots, Washington County, where she became a resident at Strabane Woods Assisted Living. During her stay she reminisced about the people and places of her youth with other residents and staff. Jacqueline enjoyed sports and loved watching the Pirates and Steelers!
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Betty J. Kimenski and Mary Lou Staggers; and brothers, Charles Roule, John "Junior" Roule and Ronald Roule. Surviving are daughter Connie Rae Roberts of Ashtabula, OH; two grandchildren, Christina Margaret Smith of Geneva, OH and Robert James Smith of Fayebrook Township, OH; and two great grandchildren, Gabrielle Anne and Ashley Rae Smith of Geneva, OH.
She is survived by four siblings, James (Barbara) Roule of Washington, PA, Eleanor (David) Coe of Pittsburgh, Rudy (Suzanne) of Christopher, IL and Thomas (Kathy) of Pittsburgh; and many nieces and nephews. Special nieces Lora Leigh Roule of Independence, OH and Tami Roule Sealy (Clark) and family, Brownsville, PA, who were special caregivers of "Aunt Jackie" during the last two years.
A burial committal service for family and friends will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, September 4,2015, at the Horn Cemetery, Marianna, with Father Timothy Kruthaupt officiating.
