Howard L. Wible

Howard L. Wible, 88, of "Blainsburg" West Brownsville, PA passed away September 22, 2013 at the Monongahela Valley Hospital. 

He was born  PA.  son of the late Frederick and Doris (Saxe) Wible.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Juanita F. Wible, 3 brothers Francis, William and Frederick Wible, Grandson, Joseph Wible.

Mr. Wible was a WW2 veteran of the 8th Air Force 801st 492nd  BG, known as the "Carpetbaggers", a top secret group of the O.S.S. from 1943-45.  Mr. Wible was proud to be a part of 3 books and an upcoming Hollywood movie which is currently being filmed and produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg.  Mr. Wible retired from the USPS in 1989 and he was also employed by the M.R. Railroad, Brownsville, PA.  Mr. Wible was past commander of American Legion Post 295 Brownsville and VFW Post 47 Uniontown.  Mr. Wible enjoyed his grandchildren, baseball, football and softball.

He will be sadly missed by his 7 Children Jim Wible, and wife Traci; Larry Wible, and wife Darlene; Randy Wible, and wife Jill; Gary Wible, and wife Terri; Howard (Punky) Wible, and Carol; Mark Wible and Shelley Madia; 14 Grandchildren Kevin Wible, and wife Kellie; Jim Wible, and wife Melissa; Michael Wible; Tyler & Trenton Wible; Lindsey Wible; Ian Wible; Derek Wible; Scott Wible; Lisa Wible; Kelli Wible; Heather Wible; Elizabeth Madia and James Morgan; 10 Great-Grandchildren Alexandria & Noah Wible; Madelyn & Gabrielle Wible; Tristan Lint; Tanner Wible; Jacob & Kane Wible;  Leilani & Jasmine Wible; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild Khloe Wible; Brother Robert Wible, of Texas; Sisters Pat Baranek, of Lemont Furnace; Jan Varndell, of Smithfield and Virginia Wible, of Uniontown.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and Wednesday, September 25, 2013 until 10:00 AM, the hour of service, with the Rev. Paul Sandusky, officiating. 

Interment will follow at Cochran Cemetery, Dawson, PA.
