Hazel (Redman) Grahek

Hazel Grahek, 87, of Grindstone, PA, went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Golden Living Center, Uniontown, PA.

She was born January 26, 1928 in Arnold City, PA, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Hritz) Redman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother James Redman.

Hazel will be sadly missed by her husband of 67 years, Steve Grahek, Grindstone, PA; son Steven Grahek and wife Robin, Brownsville, PA; two granddaughters, Maggie and Katie Grahek, both of Brownsville, PA; seven brothers and sisters, Anna Marie "Sis" Mikita and husband Steve, Henry "Sonny" Redman and wife Jean, Mella Young, Michael Redman, Donald Redman and wife Donna, Robert Redman and wife Monda and Cathy Smith; a special aunt Margaret Hritz and numerous nieces and nephews. Hazel was a very kind and generous person who was loved by many. She enjoyed cooking, tending to her flower garden, and spending time on her front porch with friends and family. Hazel also enjoyed attending Braznell Christian Missionary Alliance Church where she was a lifelong member. However, her greatest joy was her two granddaughters whom she was so very proud of.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA on Monday, February 2, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-9pm and Tuesday, February 3, 2015 until 11:00 AM the hour of service with Pastor Frank Todaro officiating.

Entombment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
