Gladys M. Barry

Gladys M. Barry, 90, of Brownsville, PA passed away Saturday August 20, 2005 at Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown, PA.
She was born May 11, 1915, in Fort Hill, PA, the daughter of the late Nicola and Maude Conn Digruttolo. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Paul, James, Charles and Thomas "Dale" Digruttolo and 2 sisters: Abbey Digruttolo and Lucy Dunie.
Gladys worked for many years for Authenrites and then for Healthmart, both in Brownsville. She was a member and past officer of the Brownsville American Legion Post #295. Also she was a member of the Historic Church of St. Peter, Brownsville, PA since 1959 and a member of St. Peter's Christian Mothers.
Gladys will be sadly missed by husband: James Thomas Barry, of Brownsville, 2 sons: James Barry and wife Susan, Huntington Beach, CA and Thomas Barry and wife Bonnie, Brownsville, PA; 1 grandson: Thomas Barry, Brownsville, PA; 1 sister Wilma Younkin, Casselman, PA and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at NOVAK FUNERAL HOME (formerly Confer Funeral Home) 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA Monday August 22, 2005 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and Tuesday August 30, 2005 from 9 until 10:00 am, the hour of service with Rev. Fr. Vincent Gigliotti officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Peters Church Cemetery, Rt 40, Brownsville, PA
