George R. Tichnor, 73 of California, PA and formerly of East Millsboro, PA, passed away Friday June 16, 2006 at his home.
He was born October 20, 1932 in Bentleyville, PA the son of the late Estel and Lena Landis Tichnor. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by 2 brothers: James Eugene and William Tichnor, and one sister: Gail Tichnor
George was a retired truck driver for Assad Iron and Metals, Inc., Brownsville, PA
He will be sadly missed by his wife: Wilma Redman Tichnor, of California, PA, 3 sons: George Tichnor, Jr., of Coal Center, PA; Gary Tichnor, and wife Margaret, of Ralph, PA and William Tichnor and wife, Charlea, of Elco, PA; 4 daughters: Georgianna Wyland, and husband Ronald, of East Millsboro, PA; Wilma Swank, and husband Calvin, of Ligonier, PA; Tammy Bujanowski, and husband Leonard, of California, PA; Pamela Sue Murray of Crescent Heights, PA; 1 brother: Paul Tichnor, Indiana, PA and 1 sister: Helen Axton, of Long Beach, CA; Numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren; and Several Nieces and Nephews.
Friends will be received at the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville today from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and Monday, June 19, 2006 until 11:00am the hour of service with Rev. Don Ander officiating.
Interment will follow in Acklin Cemetery, Brownsville, PA.
