Garnet Mae Mayhle, 92, of Uniontown, PA and formerly of Brownsville, PA passed away Sunday, September 7, 2008 in Laurel Ridge Center, Uniontown, PA.
She was born January 9, 1916 in Smithfield, PA the daughter of Robert and Lavina (Bradee) Coleman.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband C. Edward Mayhle in 1966 and her sister Ruth Kasman.
Garnet was a resident of Brownsville, PA for almost 40 years and was the Valedictorian of her high school graduating class. She worked for G.C. Murphy's in Wilkinsburg, PA as well as Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She also was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church.
She will be sadly missed by her two sons Clarence E. Mayhle, Erie, PA and Robert R. Mayhle, Knoxville,TN; her brother Robert Coleman, Green Bay, WI; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street Brownsville, PA on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 from 7- 9pm. There will be viewing Wednesday, September 10, 2008 from 10 - 11 am the hour of service at the WESLEYAN METHODIST CHURCH OF BROWNSVILLE 6050 National Pike, Grindstone, PA with the Rev. Edward Truitt officiating.
Interment will follow at Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights, PA.
