Frederick Alexander Samuel Lapisardi, 91, of Wurtsboro, New York and formerly of Brownsville, Pennsylvania, passed away on July 20, 2024. Fred was born on December 5, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Samuel Joseph and Evelyn Lavinia (Collard) Lapisardi.
Fred was a devout Roman Catholic and loved his church. Fred served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was also a US Merchant Marine. Fred was involved in several groups including the Sons of Italy, Fayette County Association for the Blind, and Geezer’s Soup and Gab Club. He was a long-time professor of English at California University of PA, the author of four books, and dramaturg for the Yeats Festival at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin, Ireland.
Surviving to cherish Fred’s memory: his mother-in-law Ruby Baker of Brownsville; his daughters Christa (Joy) Goodnough, Amy (Rob) Lapisardi, Emily (Cody) Lapisardi; his grandchildren Megan Klein, Mylene Goodnough, and Nicholas, Nathaniel, and Winston Knotts.
In addition to his parents, Fred is preceded in death by his wife Jacqueline Lapisardi, his daughter Jennifer Lapisardi, and his sisters Joan Manhardt and Evelyn Dellosso.

Per wishes of the family they ask friends and family to meet at The Historic Church of St. Peter, 118 Church Street, Brownsville, Pa 15417 at 11:30AM for a Mass of Christian Burial.
