Francis M. Gumro, 63, of Republic, PA passed away suddenly Saturday, October 21, 2006 doing what he loved most, fishing.
He was born October 3, 1943 in Uniontown, PA the son of the late John and Agnes Kalige Gumro. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Frances Gumro, two brothers James and John Gumro and two sisters Helen Alvis and Margaret Sinko.
Francis was a six year veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed woodworking. Also, he loved taking candy to his grandchildren and playing with them.
He will be sadly missed by his three sons Michael Gumro, Republic, PA, George Gumro and wife Sandy, Thompson #2, PA and David Gumro, Republic, PA; brother Lawrence Gumro, Chalk Hill, PA, three sisters Emily Ewing, Flatwoods, PA, Patty Tidwell, Michigan and Karen Laura, Michigan; two grandchildren Bethany and Ashly Gumro, whom he loved so much and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front St. Brownsville, PA today from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Tuesday, October 24, 2006 until 12:00 pm, the hour of service, with pastor Timothy Shumar of Way of Life Apostolic Church, Isabella, PA officiating
Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
