Frances Yvonne Wertz, 71, of Brownsville, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017.
She was born June 1, 1946 in Ligonier, PA, the daughter of Frank and Lillian (Miller) Tarr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Wertz, Sr., sister Susan Tarr and two brothers, Doug and Dan Tarr.
Frances worked for many years at Fisher’s Big Wheel in Grindstone, PA. She was very loving and giving and the best mom, grandmother and sister. She loved humming birds and was very proud of her Native American heritage.
She will be sadly missed by her son Jerry Wertz, Jr and wife Terri, East Millsboro, PA; grandson Jerry Wertz, III; four siblings, Priscilla Tarr, Bob Tarr and wife Priscilla, Paul Tarr and wife Sally and Monica Kubina and husband Barry and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the ALLISON CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE, 416 Vernon Street, Allison, PA on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 4-6 PM. A Memorial Service will begin at 6 PM with a dinner reception following at the Nixon Gun Club.
