Florence C. Grahek, 82, of Owensboro, KY and formerly of Brownsville, PA, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 in Owensboro, KY.
She was born November 28, 1930 in Greensburg, PA the daughter of Harry and Levina (Veatch) Grimme - Diebel - Fisher. As a child she lived with her mother and step-father in Linbrook, Long Island, NY.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Grahek, Sr. and her brother Charles Diebel.
Florence's grandparents Rev. John C. Veatch and Anne Veatch were founders of the Denbeau Heights Christian Church.
She is survived by her two children, Thomas Grahek, Jr., Ownesboro, KY and her daughter Carol L. Grahek, Owensboro, KY; a sister Peggy McCallum, West Brownsville, PA and by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA on Monday, August 19, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Please note that the casket will be open for the 2-4 PM viewing, only. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Roland O'Brien offciating.
