Ernest Smith, Jr., 58, of Chestnut Ridge Pa, passed away peacefully on June 28th, 2024, in the WVU Uniontown Hospital, with his family by his side. Born in Brownsville on March 27th, 1966, Ernie was the son of the late Ernest Smith Sr. and Marlene Jo Easton.
Ernie could always be found with a smile on his face and his outgoing personality lit up every room he was in. He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed dearly.
A standout basketball player Ernie was a coach for the Geibel Boys Basketball team, many Giebel Girls Softball teams, and coached the Brownsville Area Little League for many years. Ernie was a loving husband, father and grandfather and spent the last 7 months with his grandbaby whom he loved dearly.
Surviving to cherish Ernie’s memory; his loving wife Consuella M. (Angelo) Smith, of Chestnut Ridge Pa, his son Carter A. Smith, of Chestnut Ridge, daughter Alexandria J. Smith, of Chestnut Ridge and his granddaughter Olivia A. Wellington also of Chestnut Ridge. His three sisters; Tammy Nichols, of Hiller, Terri Smith, of East Millsboro, and Tracey Frazier of Fredericktown, his son-in-law Cory M. Wellington, of Tower Hill Pa and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ernie is preceded in death by his parents.
