Emma Jo Balda, 76, of Brownsville, PA, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017.
She was born January 18, 1941, in Connellsville, PA, the daughter of George “Jit” Balda and Josephine (Flannery) Balda. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jaqueline “Jackie” Andler, five sisters, Pauline Patton, Martha Long, Lois Carbonara, Frances Pope and Vivian Schroyer; brother, George Balda, Jr. and her former spouse, William J. Frankos.
Emma was a member of The Historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville, PA. She worked as an account/bookkeeper at CRH Catering in Connellsville, PA and as a controller for Saxon Business Systems in Miami, FL.
She will be sadly missed by her son, David Frankos and wife Janet of Brownsville, PA; granddaughter Rachel Andler, Washington, PA; two sisters, Elsie Balda, Connellsville, PA and Karen Woodward, Ohio.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA, on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 4 – 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Historic Church of St. Peter, Brownsville, PA.
