Edward "Tuck" Rohrer

Edward “Tuck” Rohrer, 88, of Brownsville, PA, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016.

He was born January 6, 1928 in Brownsville, PA the son of Wallace and Helen Beasley Roher.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Wallace D., Jr., Ardene and Howard, and sister Margaret Crampe.

After graduating from Brownsville, he served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Force in occupation forces. Tuck was very involved in his community.  He served as a volunteer fireman and past chief of South Brownsville Volunteer Fire Company #1, along with being involved with many committees with in the department. Also, he was past president of Fayette Co. Fireman’s Association and S.W. chiefs and assistant chiefs.  
Tuck served as a Brownsville Little League umpire, president of midget league football, and as a Brownsville Borough councilman. He was a member of BYMC, BPOE, American Legion, V.F.W. and the First Christian Church in Brownsville.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 64 years, Ellen Scott Rohrer, four children, JoEllen R. Noll and husband Joseph, Scott T. Rohrer and wife Lori, Wallace E. Rohrer and Wendy R. Rankin; three grandchildren, Jeanette Rankin and partner Laken Stogner, Zachary T.  and Garrett B. Rohrer; great grandson Ezra J. Rohrer, sister, Bernice Columbia and husband Dave, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA on Monday, December 26, 2016 and Tuesday, December 27, 2016, from 2-4 and 6-9 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Paul Sandusky officiating.

Entombment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
