So sorry to hear of Aunt Dorothy's passing. We just returned from Florida after attending 3 grandchildren's graduations and heard the sad news from my brother John in an e-mail.
I would like to share this poem with you. It is one that a friend sent to me after my mother died. It is called
Afterglow
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one,
I'd like to leave an afterglow of
smiles when day is gone.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun,
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
My love and prayers are with all of you.
