Doris J. (Brown) Geletei

Doris J. (Brown) Geletei, 50 of Coal Center, PA passed away Tuesday April 3, 2012 at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Pittsburgh, PA. 

She was born November 7, 1961 in Brownsville, PA the daughter of the Robert and Gladys (Johnson) Brown.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David Geletei, and brother Robert A. Brown

Doris was employed at California University of Pa. as a cook.  She was a lifelong member of the West Brownsville American Legion Post #940, the Legion Riders and a member of the West Brownsville VFD Auxiliary.  Doris was also a member of the United Christian Church of Malden, PA where she served as deacon. 

Surviving to cherish her memory are sons Justin A. Geletei, of Washington, PA, David and Shawn Geletei, of Roscoe, PA and special friend Dale Wyles of Marianna, PA,  six grandchildren; sisters Diana Ondash and husband Edward, Sara Maleta and husband Ronald, Mary Kay Tobak and husband Mark, Donna Antol and husband Gary, Elizabeth Fowler and husband Jimmy, brothers Ralph Brown and wife Cathy, Daniel Brown and wife Susan and Charles Brown.  sister-in-law Shirley Brown, special aunts, Nancy McCourt and Marion Rose and several nieces and nephews. 

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA, on Wednesday, April 4 from 6 - 9 PM and Thursday April 5, 2012 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 9 PM and Friday April 6, 2012 until 11:00 AM the hour of service with the Rev. Jana Quisenberry officiating. 

Interment will follow in Taylor Cemetery, Brownsville, PA. 

West Brownsville VFD Ladies Auxiliary will conduct services in the funeral home at 7 PM on Thursday April 5, 2012.
