Dona Elaine Davison Koon, 59, of Charleroi, Pa and formerly of Brownsville, PA, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014.
She was born May 1, 1955 in Brownsville, the daughter of Donald and Oleda ( Sebolt) Davison. She was preceded in death by her father, her husband, Thomas Koon and infant sister Orlena Davison.
Dona graduated from Brownsville Area High School in 1973. She was a waitress/bartender at Gudac Bowling Lanes then a waitress at Morrison's Restaurant in Brownsville. From there she went on to waitress at Eat N Park in Uniontown for 10 years where she earned the nickname "Spike". Dona also was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church in Brownsville.
She will be sadly missed by her mother Oleda; daughter Amanda Koon Vinosky and husband Adam, Brownsville, PA; step daughter Melissa Koon, Uniontown, PA; grandson Bentley, three brothers, Wayne Davison and wife Penny, Colorado, David Davison and wife Laurie, Monessen, PA and Paul Davison and wife Tina, Brownsville, PA; along with many nieces nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 2 - 8PM and Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 1:00PM the hour of service with Rev. Jay Polowsky officiating.
Interment will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park in Brier Hill, PA.
