To the Wolfe family: I was so sorry to hear of the long and difficult turn Chucky's life had taken when I had the pleasure of meeting his son Chuck at the vet office over Christmas. Talking with him brought back so many great memories: your home was so beautiful at christmas and full of fun, I remember your parents, Thelma and Chuck Sr, they were kind and welcoming to the neighborhood kids, I remember the big kids taking care of the little kids as we went sledding on Fords Hill and skating on the pond. I remember building a fire and skating for hours and then walking all the way home. I remember riding the school bus with all the Wolfe's at one time or another. I remember long band practices, performances, and singing on the back off the bus with Susan. I remember sleep overs with Nancy. I remember coming home from the county fair to see your big red barn in flames. But Lucille, what I can't remember is a time when you weren't with Chucky; I am so sorry for your lose. He was a kind and gentle guy and everyone knew he was devoted to you even as a teenage. I am sorry I can't come in person to offer my condolences but please know that my thought and prayers are with you and your family. Patty

I lived in Rowes Run and played in the Redstone High School Band along with Chuck and David. I don't get around Grindstone too much, having read about Chuck's passing in the online edition of the Herald-Standard. I remember Chuck as a really nice, helpful and friendly boy. Since my memories of him are from about 40 years ago, from knowing him then, I can only imagine the wonderful husband and father he must've been. May I offer my deepest condolences to his wife,Lucille; children and all of the Wolfe and Keller families.
