Charles R. Wolfe, 58, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Presbyterian University Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA with his loving family by his side. He had fought a courageous battle the last 7 months following his heart transplant.
He was born June 30, 1948 in Uniontown, PA the son of the late Thelma (Brown) and Charles Wolfe, Sr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother in law Chuck Kobaly.
Charles was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, flyfishing and going camping with his family. He also was a farmer and a 4-H leader.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 35 years Lucille Wolfe, Grindstone, PA his 3 children Charles Wolfe III and wife Christy, McClellandtown, PA, Rachel Wolfe, Grindstone, PA and David Wolfe, Grindstone, PA, his best pal and dog Katie; 2 brothers David Wolfe and wife Marsha, Roundhill, VA and Mark Wolfe and wife Patty, Grindstone, PA, 4 sisters Kathy Springer and husband Alan, Grindstone, PA, Susan Blank and husband John, Jeanette, PA, Nancy Biddle and husband Kirby, Labelle, PA and Mary Gates and husband Kenny, Grindstone, PA; 2 brother in laws Bob Keller and wife Jean, Smock, PA and Del Keller and wife Susan, Smock, PA; 2 sister in laws Carol Kobaly, Flatwoods, PA and Wilma King and husband Dale, Smock, PA and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and 1great nephew.
Friends will be received in the Novak Funeral Home 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA today from 2-4 & 7-9pm, Sunday, February 25, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9pm and Monday, February 26, 2007 until 11:00am the hour of service with the Rev. Chester Nolfi officiating.
