Carolyn (Hixson) Lorenz, 61, a resident of Laurel Ridge Center and formerly of Brownsville, PA passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008 after a lengthy illness.
She was born May 5, 1947 in Mt. Pleasant, PA the daughter of Graydon and Fayetta (Sparks) Hixson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Lorenz.
Carolyn was outgoing and liked to joke with people and make them laugh. She also loved all animals. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter Christine Sickles, Uniontown, PA; brother Dave Hixon and wife Michelle, Hopwood, PA; sister Rebecca Rumble and husband Earl, Lamar, South Carolina; two grandchildren Bobby and Brittany Sickles and two nephews.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA today from 7 - 9pm and Wednesday, August 20, 2008 from 9 - 11:00am the hour of service with the Rev. Connie Moser officiating.
A special thanks to the nurses and staff at Laurel Ridge Center for taking such good care of Carolyn. Also to Bob Sickles for being her snuff buddy.
