Carole (Kenneweg) Provance, 79, of Brownsville, PA passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014 in the UPMC Montiefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Carole was born November 15, 1934, in Brownsville, PA the daughter of the late Earl and Leathe (Ward) Kenneweg. She was preceded in death by a brother Earl Kenneweg, Jr. and nephew Karl Christopher Kenneweg.

She graduated from Brownsville High School Class of 1952 and was active in all high school class reunions and was employed by Bell of PA; Bell Atlantic and Verizon for forty three years plus an additional thirteen years as a consultant. She was also a member of the former First Baptist Church, of Brownsville and Brownsville BPW, Brownsville Band Boosters and Telephone Pioneers. Carole enjoyed traveling especially with her grandsons, daughters and friends, Mary and Donna. She traveled to Western Europe, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada & United States. She enjoyed 50 years vacationing in Rehoboth Beach, DE with her entire family. She was an avid fan of her favorite teams; the Steelers, Old Dominion University, Duke and South Fayette High School Football.

Carole is survived by her two very devoted daughters Kimberly Onesko and husband Robert, of Penncraft, PA & Sherri Sutherland and husband Doug, of Virginia Beach, VA; grandsons Jeremy Onesko and wife Mari, of Los Angeles, CA, Mark Podolinsky, of Virginia Beach, VA, Benjamin Onesko, of Arlington, VA, Drake Podolinsky, of Chicago, Il, Patrick Onesko, of Penncraft, PA and Shaun Sutherland, of Virginia Beach, VA; devoted sister-in-law Barbara Kenneweg, of Virginia Beach, VA; two aunts June Herceg and Matilda Kenneweg; nephews Earl Kenneweg and wife Sharon, of Poolesville, MD, Eric Kenneweg, of Vienna, VA, niece Anna Dailey, and husband Scott, of Lee Valley, MD; great nieces Megan & Sarah Kenneweg, Kaitlyn Dailey; great nephews Austin Dailey; special cousins Marlene Hardy & Joyce Visco.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA, Monday, April 7, 2014 from 2 - 9 PM. A Celebration of Carole's life will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the PENNCRAFT COMMUNITY CENTER. Services will be conducted by Rev. James Engel. A private interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carole's name to the Brownsville Public Library 100 Seneca Street, Brownsville, PA 15417.
