Betty A. (Broadwater) Christner

Betty A. Christner, 91, of Grindstone, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016.

She was born in Brownsville, PA on April 30, 1925, the daughter of James and Margaret Broadwater.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two children, George “Bill” Christner and Margaret “Peggy” Lee; four sisters, Ethel Cayton, Leona Swift, Nellie Jefferies and Geraldine Yothers; three brothers, James, Harry and William “Bill” Broadwater.

Betty will be sadly missed by her husband of 72 years, George “Bill” Christner, Grindstone, PA; son Ray Christner and wife Theresa, Brownsville, PA; sister Mildred Grahek, New Salem, PA; five grandsons, Carl Lee, Michael Christner, Ray Christner, Greg Lee and Rich Christner; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA, today, September 15, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and on Friday, September 16, 2016 until 11:00 AM the hour of service with Rev. Roger Diehl officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Betty’s name to Mount Macrina Manor, 520 West Main Street, Uniontown, PA 15401.
